Strange where a life goes, the paths it takes you down, the things it changes, the way things grow. Never, in my wildest of wild dreams, did I imagine I’d be where I am today, with the family I have, the people I know, the community I’ve somehow become a part of. I think of the different manifestations of that word, community, and I think how lucky I am to be part of it. I am part of this community, this strange blend of light chasing souls spread out across a planet, and I feel honored to speak to each and every one of you. I think of the word community in relation to the family I have been blessed to be a part of, all these smiling souls in the photo above, and I feel nothing but really damn lucky. I think about the community I am part of from the ability to donate to my friends Krysti and Sabrina, the perfect beautiful wonderful compassionate hilarious child that came from that partnership, Elliot. I think of them in the photo below and I feel awe, awe at how they parent, awe that I was able to be a part of that story.
Community, my goodness, what a word, and what a massive dictionary worth of definition behind it. Thank you, all of you, for being a part of this one, for trusting me to talk to you each morning you wake. I hope these emails are something special for you, as they are for me. I pour out into them, and I hope they find you smiling.
A community
and a family spread out,
this is what we built.

Tyler, your gratitude oozes and feels infectious! I've come to cherish your shares as part of my early morning routine: each action or reflection offering wisdom and clarity about a life well lived. Thank you for being a part of that...thank you for being generous with your words, life, and spirit! Wishing you a beautiful New Year's! 💗
This post made me smile so much. Community is such a powerful thing, no matter what it looks like. Without some sort of community we are lost, wandering alone searching for something, someone. I can’t imagine being apart from the various communities I call mine. I’m honored to be part of this community and am so grateful for you.
