I have always loved haiku, for a million reasons at a million different times. I love them for how short they are, not because that makes them easier to write, far from it, but because I think they are so insanely challenging to do, and to do well.

Three lines to sum up something seismic, 17 syllables to tell a story that explains an emotion, a loss, a triumph, or sometimes, a season.
