You are your Papa's grandson..... until now I didn't think anyone had crazy dreams like him..... although his were usually after he had a huge bowl of ice cream the night before! This dream made me calm!
Your dream poem is “handmade” for a timeless and nameless place where light is shed upon our inner thoughts in a hopeful effort to separate us from their hold… and release them to their own destiny…. replaced by that warm and lasting embrace of creativity which we have given life. Light is the channel or medium needed to carry both the burden and privilege of our practice out into the world, after we struggle to produce them and before we are blanketed with that proud relief we wish would never end.
Btw… my only recurring dream has been to soar without wings. I simply will my body off the ground and fly above the rooftops and trees with a euphoric, almost “out of body” perspective. In real life I have flown in planes more than some pilots have in their careers, but that has never generated anything close to the happiness by which I ride the skies sometimes in my sleep.
The words did better than the visuals by far to evoke what you mean, and that’s one of my favourite things about the way you phrase things.
That said;
The platforms in the image are so eerily reminiscent of a recurring dream I have with elevators that are open platforms that are moving waaaaay too fast; your version is much more interesting
Whenever i wanna make an important decision which means i need to come way more out of my comfort zone, i see this dream:
I'm standing in front of a long, dangling bridge. Despite my fear of heights, i know i must cross that bridge (There are also monsters living in the ravine below the bridge). As i start walking and repeating to myself "Don't look down!", i fall through the ravine halfway walking and as much as i try, i can't get out. You tell me your interpretation, and then i'll explain my dream's symbolism.
Please share your dreams more! Never had these aspects of a dream, but mine are wild as well! I love the sunshine aspect. The dream felt warm and safe. Love this!
A painting I loved looked almost exactly like this. I sat by it everyday until it was taken down from my college gallery some 25 years ago. This was before smart phones, I never got a photo of it. It didn’t feel right to steal the image without permission. I grieved when whichever one of my peers took it home, but I can still see it in my mind. The couple silhouetted by raining sunlight. What a wild ride this existence is.
Beautiful dream. It feels like one I'd like to revisit. Since my neurology changed with the ol MS i no longer remember Dreams. Thank you so much for sharing yours. If I could, I'd be a paid subscriber, i believe in you, chasing the light and this space.
Well now I want a sunlight shower! Especially in the moody dark days of winter, but really any time.
Seriously, I want this so bad.
Sounds perfect for Love Death and Robots…it’s a Netflix show for those that don’t know of it
OOOOOOh, let's make this happen! Know anyone? :)
Haha sorry I do not

:) ME too! I love that we share that.
So beautiful! Thank-you so much for sharing this lovely vision.
Always, thanks for finding it lovely!
I also hate AI but I love your dream and I am so grateful you shared it here
:) Thank you! I wish I was a better painter, I'd have done it myself haha.
I thoroughly enjoy all my dreams WHILE I am sleeping but each morning when I wake, I don’t remember any of them, dammit 🙁
Start writing every thought down when you wake! You can practice!

Kevin your gifts for words always amazes me
I adore this. And, I too dream of flying without wings. What a gift that'd be.
What a dream!! I want to go there and bask in the sunshine and explore and find out what happens next! Thank you for sharing ! Not a bad ai either
ME TOO!! I want to make this a full story.

What high praise! Thank you so much. Also, what if we both are dreaming not a dream, but a real place we'll know in the future?!

WOW. This sent my entire mind spinning. I love this.
Glad that you loved it. Can i ask what's your interpretation of my dream?

Deal! I have so many.

That is so wild. I wonder what the painting was!?

Thank you so much. Having you read, in any capacity, means the world.
This is stunning. That is all.
