Some people come into our lives, change everything, then pop off and away and you don’t see them 1/1000th as much as you should.  Some people do this, and the ripples of their connection never stop fanning out, like a continuous drip of stones into a still body of water in the center of you.  This is Ash, to me, this is my brother-from-another-mother who lives far too far away, who I see far too often, and who will always be family to me.  Always.  I wrote a poem just for him, about him, and it’s attached below, and it’s one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever written, and I need to read it aloud sometime soon, read it how he would even though I am shit at that, but anyway, it’s his Birthday in 2 short days, and so this is for him, this prompt, this poem below, and it got me wondering about all of YOU…
