December has a way of refusing stillness, despite the overwhelming slow-down the natural world enjoys. December is a frenzy, a chaotic swirl of family and celebration and holiday and charity and exhaustion and gift giving and light and shadow and long dark hours of cold.

December is mania.

Here was mine, through the lens of my trusty Fuji x100v. My little snapshots of a little life lived in the mountains of Montana. My wanderings, my point of view, the things I did, loved, saw, felt, and only knew to capture.

Christmas trees went up early this year, as dammit, we need more things to celebrate, more light to fill up what seems to be a massive and choking amount of darkness and shadow lately. We put ours up the day after Thanksgiving, my Mom and Dad did theirs shortly thereafter. Cold came in strong and our walks took on that blue-hued…
