Today is a special day, that will always be special despite the fact that the reason it’s special is a person I’ve not seen for literally over a decade. Today is Aarthy’s birthday, a person I love so very much, and a person whose friendship has absolutely never depended on physical proximity. She lives in Canada, always has, and we’ve only actually spent a single day in each other’s presence. Everything else has been online, and the fact that we’re still close, that she calls me Uncle to her two kids, is a magical thing, and one of the few testaments to the importance of the internets. Happy Birthday A-Vader, and thanks for inspiring today’s writing prompt:
