Come Now With Your Heat | 1.14.21
All the ways we shiver, all the ways we’re warmed. Sensual thing, lending your heat to someone else for a time, skin on skin and the exchange of passion and warmth, sensual thing indeed. Comes as no surprise that in the thick of Winter, we crave this connection, when we’re at our coldest we need to be reminded of all things fiery and true. All the ways we shiver, from chill, from loneliness, from the anticipation of what comes when it finally fades away. All the ways we’re warmed, from tenderness, from passion, from all that passes when lights go out and morning waits in the wings.
Come now with your heat, bring it and soothe, bring it and elate. Come now, on the other side of all this that tests us, all this shivering, all this gooseflesh raised in anticipation, come now, for I am here.
I shiver for you,
tremble from all the waiting.
Come now with your heat.
