This work of art is truly remarkable. Rereading it after spending the night drifting in a pitch black, high desert, geothermal hot spring, watching the moon travel through space above me.
It brings a smile to my face, knowing some theorize the reason for the Great Silence is, perhaps, we ourselves live within a black hole, and are therefore protected by it; its gravity a natural part of our environment.
Sometimes the catastrophe we fear is the framework of creation.
