“My little brain snacks, my mind meals” is gonna be part of my speech pattern now. I’ve been consuming too much junk food lately. My mind, heart and soul need more hearty refreshment.
That playlist… So good. And 52 hours!! You overdelivered, as usual. Bravo. (You know you‘re a writer - or just sorely in middle age - when Spotify starts recommending lullabies to you. Just happened to me the other day. The younger me is rolling his eyes, but the current me is perfectly okay with it.)
This playlist has been a game changer for me, and you're so right about their recommendations hahaha. I get Brown noise recommendations from playing it whilst I sleep. Current me, totally on board.
Love this. Thank you. I too loved Silo and had no idea until after it started that it was a book series. I was afraid to read the books before the show was over. I’ve started other books while watching the show and they turned out to be so different that it made one or the other disappointing. (Looking at you The 100)
I'm ALMOST done with the books and they feel so faithful so far. It's weird, all I hear is the actress who plays Juliette saying what she's saying when I read and somehow it makes it way better haha.
Your review of Shoresy has me wanting to resubscribe to Hulu. I’ve also nearly finished the Beartown series by Fredrik Backman so the hockey theme feels rather fitting right now!
It’s a longgg series but I love Backman’s writing style. The whole series is highly emotional with heavy topics but it’s an important read. The 3rd book was actually my favorite though. Plus it gave a lot of hockey context which helped while watching Shoresy. My husband and I have binged the series the last 2 weeks. Wonderful recommendation!
Welcome to the Shoresy train!! I need to catch up but I LOVE that show.
He did say he’d be so good to ya. Fire up your tv and he’s right there, bein’ good to ya
Always bein good to me. And Liam and Corey's moms. :)
In the Letterkenny show it’s Riley and Jonesy’s mums who were wheelin’ Shoresy…
One day maybe I’ll have a Shoresy of my own haha
I've NO doubt. None. He'd run headfirst into a concrete wall just to wheel your garbage out.
Saving this to come back to time and time again when I catch myself rotting during a doom scroll. It's very much appreciated!
:) It's always here when you are!

;) You can use, love, and embrace said terms at your discretion haha. You're amazing.
Ah! Have you Letterkenny-ed?
Shoresy hails from that universe. I'm saving the later seasons of Canada's Best Town for my warchest of comfort & joy.
And, Jack absolutely smashes it. Since Skins. The poetry is a bonus
WE HAVE! We're on Season 3 I think :) Totally different feel but still love it.

That will be me as well. I love Rebecca Ferguson 😍

Is that good?! I think I started the first one ages ago but then got distracted by something else. WOrth it?!
