I look forward to your posts every Sunday, hearing you read them aloud now (and interject comments too!) feels like an awesome visit with a friend. So rad, Tyler!

“these slivers of moments, these tiny times that took my breath away, that realigned what magic meant, what was worth living for, what was worth crying over, what was worth remembering”- oh my, how you have encapsulated what life is really about. When one pulls back the curtain, it’s not those big “tadahs”, but these shards. Your words, your thinking, resonate deeply. You asked why some people have become paid members- you find words to express ideas that I didn’t have words for. This is why, for me, that I will continue to be a supporter. Thank you. And I enjoy hearing you speak, breathing and all. Glad to hear you are breathing.

I've recently started paying closer attention to the moments than I have in a long time. In June of this year, I took a trip to Yellowstone Dog Sports in Red Lodge, Montana (this was my 9th year going - Montana is good for my soul) and had the opportunity to travel with my friend Amy. We did a day trip to YNP and spent some time trying to get pictures at Grand Prismatic, but it was windy and there was just too much steam swirling to really see the beauty of the springs. I had turned my phone camera to "selfie", as I try to get a pic of myself in beautiful places when I travel. As I tried to frame my shot, Amy popped in and we both mugged for the pic, then went back to using actual cameras to photograph the intricate details of the surface of the spring. A few weeks after we got home, Amy learned she would be fighting cancer for the 2nd time, this time a double mastectomy was the answer. Surgery was a success and the cancer is gone. That quick, silly photo is now one of my favorite moments.

Tyler, you are so right. Do the silly selfies. Take pictures of moments. Treasure the memories. ❤

Tyler, I joined Chasers of the Light at the end of August. Things have been busy and I am now just reading everything you wrote since I joined. I feel very connected to your words. Your words - "They say if you wish to know what someone loves, look at what they photograph," got me. Someone once said to me, "You are what you think about most of the time." True. Our thoughts shape our perception and outlook, as do our photos.

Thank you for your mission to mold the world into something better. Debbie W.
