“It’s called butt breathing, Sarah”… I.am.dead. 🖤 To the bathtub immediately. Where’s my stopwatch.

Alright y’all…. Can I just say perfectly imperfect at its finest. The two of you are by far my favorite couple of all time. I literally gifted a membership after watching this. So remember to give yourself a little grace. Maybe what you’re putting out in the universe for all of us is exactly what someone needs at that moment. Thank you for sharing your smiles and laughs with us. It made my day.

You guys are just SOOOOOOO adorable. What a fun ride.

*Joan Snell, who dared to ask a 14-year-old to join THE community chorus that she directed.

* Mr. Ryder, my daughter's 5th-grade teacher, who taught me that Sophie listens best while drawing the lesson.

* David Strohmier, who coaxed a thespian from me at 18 while casting me in the title role of Gilbert and Sullivan's Iolanthe. His exuberance rubbed off on me forever.

* Rev. James Todhunter, who got me to lead the youth group at our church [UCC] at 16 and nearly had me going to seminary before I chose music therapy... and for encouraging my need to study something about every religion.

* My father, George F. Ellison, who, even though he was a bit of an absent father growing up, made up for it in spades after my mother died to >really< know me. Besides teaching me what integrity is.

* My daughter Sophie, who taught me to be less of an introvert so that I could teach her not to be so much so. She would choose me as her rock when she experiences chaos in her life. My husband would choose me for my open-heartedness after he came out.

* Patrick Hittahler for bringing me out of a depression and opening my eyes to a greater possibility in life, sex, and everything at 48.

* Various store managers who saw my potential to lead and organize and create positions for myself.

* Mrs. Wolff, the librarian who hired me to be her assistant at my daughter's elementary school.

* The world [people, nature, circumstance] that inspires me to be a better, kinder, and gentler human in all areas.

* ... and I don't know who inspired me to think about and study Buddhism, but I am grateful to them for the practice.

* and most of all, me, who had the strength to pull myself out of and survive potential suicide.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Thanks for this exercise. I feel most grateful and uplifted!
