The Colors We Paint - Brand New Typewriter Series Poem
A Poem For A Painter - Typewriter Series #3093
Another Friday, another chance for me to share with you a brand new Typewriter Series poem that so far, only one person has read…the person I wrote it for.
As you know, I’ve been offering custom poems, written just for you, as a way to help supplement our income over the last few years since the pandemic literally wreaked havoc on our livelihood. (Speaking of, we’re still booking weddings for 2025 and beyond, ALL OVER THE WORLD, and we’d LOVE to work with you, if you or anyone you know is getting hitched, send them to us! chasersofthelight.com/weddings !)
Many of you have already taken the plunge and let me write for you, and it’s the honor of my life that you trust me with your stories, trust me to turn them into poetry. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for this. Today’s poem, was written (and the timing of this is truly amazing as we just got back from Northern Ireland where we finally got to meet her in person!) for an astonishingly talented artist and painter, and as such it needed to be about precisely that. Her mastery of color, and what those colors mean to her, to me, to the world that gets to see her work.
It was a joy to write, and I think, I hope, it landed how I wished it to. As I have said many times before, it’s scary the moment I hit SEND on a custom poem, always hoping that it means to them what it means to me in the writing. Always scary, but always worth it.
Below is the poem, and I truly hope you’ll love it, its colors, too. If you’d like to be the first to read these new Typewriter Series poems, exclusively posted here, I really hope you’ll hop behind the little paywall and join our exclusive community. We are a family here and we’d love to have you.
Here is the typed up poem she was given, on the original paper. Every single purchase of a custom poem gets the original poem, the only one in existence. What a treat.
And for those that like the sound of my silly voice reading it, here’s what that sounds like too.
Hope you have a delightful weekend. Now if you haven’t already, order yourself a custom poem! It helps you, it helps me, and that means it’s a WIN WIN!
I love you all.
The color imagery in this one is stunning. Such a gorgeous way to honor her. 🫶
