Come this time next week, we’ll have already celebrated Labor Day in the USofA. A day that, according to the definition celebrates the “social and economic achievements of American workers.” Apparently it dates all the way back to the late 19th century, so we’ve been thinking about work, working, and workers, for a long damn time. I’ve long thought it weird that the first question we usually ask people is not “what do you love,” or “who are you really?” but “What do you do for a living.” By Living, somehow, we all agreed we’d just mean Work, and this is sad and says a lot about our society I think. Maybe I’m rambling, but it’s true still in my brain.
Anyway, enough of that. I’ve got a Labor Day type prompt for you to kick things off. Let’s see what you make of it…
