Ooooh lordy, another Friday, another steaming pile of links for you to gobble up. Speaking of gobbling up, Sarah’s little micro-bakery is ROCKING, and she’s even started her own little newsletter for it. It’s here, if you wanna sign up:

and We Are Riff Raff! Anyhoo, on with the show!

We need all the help we can get to keep this place alive. If you love it here, please, please consider signing up to keep it running. It’s about 14 cents a day.

Here’s the scoop, kids:

Lord G’s Finds:

  1. The Magic of Bird Brains - Corvids, meaning crows and ravens, are one of the very, very few species on this planet that have “domesticated” human beings. Meaning, they are smart enough to make us work for them. I love this, beyond love this, as they have always been my favorite birds. This amazing article dives into the absolute magic that is these bird’s brains, everything from how they can hold a grudge, to how they understand reciprocation and give gifts to those kind to them. Stunning creatures, always my favorite.

  2. Ten Thousand Tactical 5-Pocket Pants - I’ve been LONG searching for the perfect pair of travel pants, and maybe, just maybe, I’ve found them. They are a weird stretch cotton/nylon/elastane mix, they are water and stain repellant, they have odor-block technology, and they pack SMALL, I mean, very, very small. I’ve not yet traveled to test them, but just wearing them around here, they are perfect for hiking, walking, and just being. Hopefully these are them, I really hope so. I am sick of searching. They only way I can afford them is to wait until they go on sale or to get a huge coupon code, but I am considering them an investment, as they’ll last forever, and be my go-to travel pants.

  3. 13 Recent Scientific Breakthroughs - As you know, I love science, and I love the ways it’s being used to hopefully better our planet, our people, our world. These 13 breakthroughs are nothing short of remarkable and show just how much can be done when people put their minds to it, their genius to it, and their love. From Rhino IVF to cell therapy for melanoma, great things are happing.

  4. 11 Friendliest Animals In The World - If you had to guess what’s the “technically” friendliest animal in the world, what would you guess? Dog? Close. Cat? Weirdly, on the list. The number one answer might surprise you. I’ll spoil it in case you’re in a hurry, but it’s the amazing capybara! They can literally get along with and live with almost any species, even those that technically could and should, eat them. That’s amazing, and animals are amazing, and I Love them so much. Check out the list, you’ll love it too. (Image credit: TheCoolist.com)

Lady G’s Finds:

  1. Riff Raff BUSINESS CARDS! - Whilst I’ve been busy baking, Tyler made me official business cards for my bakery! The back has the loyalty card for all those who buy 12 loaves, and I Love them so much. It’s getting much more real, and I cannot tell you how exciting that is. What a strange world. I hope someday I can bake for you all.

  2. Bodkin Trailer - I love ALL things Ireland, and this show looks positively amazing. It’s filmed all over Ireland, but mainly West Cork, and so many of the spots Tyler and I have wandered through many, many times. Will Forte is hilarious, and this show looks like it might just be fantastic. Check the trailer out, watch with us when it comes out!

  3. Rackmaster 2020 Bread Oven! - Well, we did it. We had some very, very, very generous help from one of our dearest friends that made this possible, and I cannot tell you what it means to have someone believe in you this way. It won’t get here til mid-May but I cannot wait. My output will be quadrupled, literally, and it’s really going to make things amazing. What do you think we should name her?!

We love you all. Be good.
