Good gravvvvvy, it’s another Friday. That’s a good thing, right? Let’s do some links to celebrate the weekend that begins soon. Yep.

Pssst…if you want a Rad way to say “Hey Tyler, Thanks for this rad place, I love you 30,000, there’s a way. Hop on board the exclusive community train! You get extra newsletters each week (with fun writing prompts and discussion threads), LIVE VIRTUAL HANGOUTS EACH MONTH!, and direct access to me and to the most amazing community of fellow Light Chasers in the comments:

Here’s the scoop, kids:

  1. 7 Idioms Lost to English - I love a good idiom, always have. These are 7 that have somehow faded out of use in the good ol’ English language. Many of which should come back, and soon. Personal fave: “Bring not a bagpipe to a man in trouble.” That’s just solid f’ing advice.

  2. The Power - Sarah and I have been having a lot of fun watching this book adaptation on Amazon Prime. Women deserve all the power in the world, and if that means giving them electrical sparks out of their fingers, SO BE IT!

  3. 9 Easy Ways To Make Life A Little Easier - Ooh you know me, I Love a list, and I love a way to make my life easier. These are 9 handy little tips to make your life just a fraction easier, and sometimes, that fraction makes all the difference in the whole world. Give em a spin. See what you think.

  4. Klopfgeist by Meursalt - I don’t know what it is about this song but I like it and it feels pleading and beautiful and warms me in places that need warming.

  5. Emily Dickinson’s Love Letters To Susan Gilbert - Emily Dickinson’s role as one of the greatest poets ever will never be taken, but this little article, with these stunning love letters to Emily’s first, and greatest, love, shows that she had poetry running through every aspect of her soul, and through its communications. I love this, so much it hurts.

  6. Typewriter Series Silliness - Yep, more of the same. I’m an idiot.

@tylerknottgregsonTypewriter Series #348 and another steamy little dumpling. Also prints of these are all signed and shipped right to ya. Check the shop.

thank you for this one, Tyler! I am presently 60 pages into “Figuring” by Maria Popova (the author of item 5) and it has brought me to tears and brought out my highlighter more times than I can count :) highly recommend!
