Lost in it, this current of time, drifting downstream over rock and falls, under fallen tree and branch. Quickly pass the hours, slowly drag the months, was it really so long ago we greeted Summer? Blown about and wind-tossed, called it dancing for a time, but we didn’t know the steps did we? What do you hold when it’s air that holds you? Bring me bird wing or broad leaf to rest upon, bring me shade to settle into.
Are we flower seeds, have we come too early? Sun seeking and soil starved, are we wandering into and out of fields we never knew the names of, are we waiting again, always waiting again to grow? I know this place, eroded path around mountainside, taught it the song of my own footsteps in snowfall, in rain, in fog, and scorched needle, I know this place, for I have wandered here too long.
Come rainfall, come spring storms, come quaking after leaves erupt. Come, come here and show me peace, for I cannot speak any longer of time.
Just wandering fields,
time floating like flower seeds,
waiting to find soil.

Wow! The magic we miss - the magic in small miracles of life - gone when we rush and focus attention on things without heart and soul. Thank you, Tyler, for always bringing us back to the present, the gift of now. You are a master! 💗
