I noticed something the other day, and I think it was perhaps partially inspired by the fact that Divisionals, and then State Track and Field championships are rapidly approaching here in Montana, and that once again, Henry and Addie are going to be competing and hopefully absolutely rocking it. To see the discipline, the dedication, and the unbelievable grit to stick to the challenging routines required to get to this level has been beyond inspiring. I’ve long been a proponent of sticking to routines that you challenge yourself with (hello 12+ YEARS of Daily Haiku, hello 3000+ Daily typewriter series poems!), and that made me want to impart some of that importance onto you.
Point is, I think challenging yourself is a fundamental way to not only encourage, but Guarantee growth. If we never push ourselves beyond our comfort zones, we cannot ever outgrow them. Now is a chance to do precisely that…
