Omgosh, I love that the two of you posted about Hadestown!! My daughter and I have been season tickets holders to our local theater and saw Hadestown a few years ago. The pro shot that was just in the theater makes Broadway so much more accessible to people who can't afford tot get to NY and Broadway. Keep enjoying it!! And 100% dress up as Eurydice for Halloween!!

Current obsession: Sitting on my balcony. I do it every morning when I wake up and watch the sunrise. (while I read poetry) And I recently started doing it at night before bed too. I'll sit outside for a few minutes and look at stars because it's dark where I live and I can see them pretty well. These rituals really help ground me. They help me to really NOTICE. Also just being in nature seems to be a cure for everything.
This was just the most lovely thing to watch and listen to. Your final thought was incredible and fits in so many ways right now. Thank you for showing up, for modeling the love and creativity that you both model. I love that you are a part of the community I live in!!
My latest obsession is Culture Pop soda in just about any flavor, but the turmeric ginger is my favorite. It's a probiotic soda made with real sugar and natural colors.
Been watching Widow's Bay. We have three more shows, and I really want to see how they resolve the season, but I also don't want it to end!
The weird thing was I buzzed my hair down with a number-two guide on the clippers. I didn't quite mean to do that all over, but I'm loving it. I've done it a couple of times in the past, but never with my silver hair, and not at 66 ;-)

I am also rewatching This is Us with my daughter who is going into her senior year and experiencing the incredible writing snd acting again through her eyes for the first time has been magical right before we dive into the rollercoaster of graduation year.
I truly wish we were close enough that you both could capture her senior photos. You would love her beautiful spirit and the way the sunshine through her red hair at golden hour looks like fire.
Heather we just had our first one and it was SO MUCH FUN. A dozen or so people showed up, we supported each other, we laughed, we cried, we bonded. It was beautiful and I cannot wait for the next one! I'll post a replay of it soon! And You're so right on needing more goodness. Thank you for these!
I think that's what life is, take the punches and try to make them poetry. Junk journal sounds amazing and fun. And what the heck is IN a vegan marshmallow?!
Circling back to this post because I have to say how much this poem means to me. After hearing you read it, I went and pulled Chasers of the Light off my shelf and have been re-reading it. Still one of the greatest books of all time. And this poem feels significant to me in this exact moment of life I'm in. Especially because I've been sitting on my balcony looking at the stars every night before bed.
Ooof- a roller coaster it’s been the past few weeks. It’s a deep breath to sit on the porch before sunrise and catch up on all the Signal Fire emails. “Adjust your sails” and the last minute of this just resonates like you wouldn’t believe. So bummed I missed the second live. When is tomorrow’s?(9/2) Sure hope I can join as there’s some big news in the Haddock house to share! How I so enjoyed the first live event- it’s good to meet more of like minded, creative, peace seeker people.

Somatic healing- contemplating getting my certification to be a somatic experiencing practitioner
Re- evaluation of what keeps me sane. Because of menopause, injuries and my job as a personal trainer- I can’t go as hard in to the paint as I used to and loved to with working out. Kind of pisses me off, but it’s reality.
