As mornings get darker and darker, and we’re closer than ever to the shortest day of the year, we need the things that warm us more than ever. I’m not speaking of warmth in its literal sense, as many of you reading this are undoubtedly in warm climates, bare skin peeking out from shirtsleeves or dresses, shorts or bathing suits. I am speaking of how desperately we, as members of this human race, need the things that soothe us, and we need to admit to ourselves what they are, and more than that, why they are the things that do. For my wife it is her morning coffee, something she starts thinking about before she goes to sleep each night. This is not an exaggeration, this is a truth, she actually gets excited to go to bed at night because it brings her closer to the morning and her first cup of hot coffee in some old mug, the warmth in her hands, the lingering looks out the window at the sun just starting to pop up over the mountains to the East. Some unsolicited life advice from me to you: Find the thing that brings heat to you, and (assuming it’s a healthy outlet) give it the space and respect it deserves, allow yourself to soak in the soothing. After the year we’ve endured, we deserve every possible outlet for feeling better, a bit more alive, a bit more refreshed. What I want to know is this: What brings heat to You?
Coffee cup that warms,
steam that rises slow and soft.
You blow out the heat.

The white mug in your picture was available in your shop a few years ago, but unfortunately I missed out. My daughter has told me a few times she would love to have one if they are ever available again. Any chance these might make a comeback?
I'm with Sarah! My one cup of morning coffee is my only vice and it's a daily ritual that I drink while the sun comes up, as I write out my daily gratitude list. That first sip is absolute heaven!
