This reminds me of what the singer/songwriter Lester Quitzau said to us once at a songwriting workshop I did with him:
“There is room for everyone to be successful”
And that comes through here for me with your words, Tyler; the two of you and your love give hope precisely because of the peeks of intimacy you show; because those peeks are also never shown as *just* happily ever after, but grit and sorrow and joy and abundance and coming through it all together, side by side.
It’s a hand-drawn map to a shifting landscape, but it is something of hope made tangible, something of “you can make it too”
You made me cry! I just read your beautiful words and I have to admit that since I’ve joined this group, you have helped me open myself up more and be more vulnerable. We are often afraid of the world seeing all of who we are from fear of being judged, but I’ve learned that it’s only through self love and self compassion will you get to true freedom. Today I’m no longer afraid and learning to let it all shine. You are right, not everyone will love you and should, but who ever we belong to will find us. Keep writing from your heart. Keep being the most absolute you, you can be, we love it that way here. Thank you
