Ok so it’s no secret that I always delight in the Sunday Signal Fire (the Canadian in me sometimes feels compelled to actually apologize for commenting again haha) but today that paragraph about the ones we love and lose being like kites.... it all touched my heart so much and brought tears to my eyes. That imagery is incredible and I had full body goosebumps. As always, every week, I am so honoured to have read this Tyler. I love this so so much!
Here in Guatemala, there is a festival of Giant Kites to mark the Day of the Dead and All Saints’ Day. It is an amazing and beautiful display of art, history and culture that goes back centuries. You can see a bit about it here:
It’s comforting that in so many cultures, this connection to the other side is present and that the thinning of the veil happens at the same time of year for us all.
