All of you beautiful souls, thank you for your feedback last week in the discussion thread asking about Daily vs. Weekly. Overwhelmingly, the results skewed toward Weekly or “a few times a week” and some changes are coming soon! I am going to keep it relatively flexible, allowing for times where I post typewriter series poems, etc, but it’s looking like it will be something like this:
Two “main” posts a week. One longer form post like what I’m doing on the Sunday Edition now, filled with longer insights, questions, etc. One that will be just photography, something easy for you to peruse mid-week that’s nothing more than eye candy, and lets me show the other half of my artistic life, not just writing, but photography too. Both of these will be free, always free for every member.
Weekly Wednesday Writing Prompts & Worry Knott Advice Column will stay and remain an exclusive for all you that have so graciously jumped behind the tiny ($5/month) paywall. The Writing Prompt has been massively popular and it’s allowing all of us to share And interact with some stunning writing. I have some AMAZING prompts planned down the road too, and I cannot wait to see where you take them. The Advice column, Worry Knott, stays now, but I’ll need feedback on if ya’ll like it enough to keep it around. I’m all ears.
Typewriter Poems + Extra posts will pop up from time to time, some will be for all members, some will only be behind the paywall, but just know I’m constantly adding more stuff behind the paywall, and I am going to be doing some live readings/events soon. In fact, I’m looking to make a private Facebook Group (just putting it there as it’s the only place I know how to do videos/live events with a group of 500+ if anyone knows alternatives, let me know) for all you paid subscribers…stay tuned for more info on that.
Finally, some housekeeping. Please note that the Email Sender Name will be changing effective immediately to SIGNAL FIRE in your email box. I already changed it, but got some confusion, so I changed it back for this discussion thread, and after it’s sent I’ll switch back. This newsletter is so much More than a newsletter, it’s a Signal Fire, a message in the dark that you’re not alone, you’re never alone, and it’s a call to light your own fires, shine them in the dark, and gather together. To shout against the loneliness and frustration that our crazy busy lives, our social media nonsense, our pandemic struggling, can cause. This is a Signal Fire, and I’m so thrilled you’re here.
Stay tuned, you beautiful sparks, stay tuned indeed. IN the meantime, please feel free to share this with anyone you think would love to be a part of it. Word of mouth is invaluable. I love you all.

The fact that a name “change” carries such significance...I loved “Chasers of the Light” - I will forever chase but now the light has grown from an ember to a flame with “Signal Fire”.
My friend, I am open to and welcome any changes you want to throw our way...
However, let me leave you with this...while in an offer advice on how to parent a child - only YOU know best what is right for your child in the growing stages of their life...and sometimes the decisions we make with our children may not be the popular one...may not be the one that even we were raised with...
Know that I support, care, and love this child that you have so graciously shared with all of us...carry on good father - keep up the great work!
